LONDON – Considered far from being able to compete for the Premier League title this season, Arsene Wenger not grandiose set a target at the end of the season. He is sure to finish in the Champions League or the big four can be achieved Mikel Arteta et al.
Arsenal climbed to fourth place standings after beating West Ham 2-1, Sunday (12/28/2014). Performance gradually increased to signal that the Gunners can compete for a place in the Champions League next season.
Wenger also believes Arsenal are full of experience to keep staring competition with the positive. The West London side have the same points but less aggressive goals with Southampton who sit in fourth position.
“We have done it in 17 years, so we covered the trust could do it (finish top four). This is all done because, when you look at the standings all teams fought hard for it. Southampton, Tottenham, Manchester United, and many teams are fighting for the position, “said Wenger, quoted by Soccerway, Tuesday (12/30/2014).
“I always had the belief that it is possible to finish top four, but it is still far from achieved. We just want to win the next game and consistent in performance. We drew 2-2 against Liverpool, but Sunday we win away from home, “he continued.
