Sunderland – Chelsea will not be able to play Diego Costa in the next game in the event the Premier League against Tottenham Hotspur. It is not too mourned by the Blues manager Jose Mourinho.
Costa hit the yellow card when Chelsea were held to a goalless draw by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday (11/30/2014) pm dawn. Spain striker was unlucky not shown the red card on the offense in the 55th minute because he looks like elbowed Wes Brown.
The yellow card is the fifth yellow card received by Costa in the Premier League this season. He was exposed to the accumulation of cards and can not play in the game against Spurs at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday (12/03/2014) future.
Although Costa is Chelsea‘s top scorer this season, Mourinho believes the absences in question could be covered by another player.
“I was told that he was lucky to have a yellow card,” Mourinho said on the club’s official website.
“We will play (Loic) Remy or (Didier) Drogba against Tottenham. We’re not going to cry about injuries or penalties,” he added.
“He (Costa) can be rested and fresh again against Newcastle (next weekend). It does not matter,” he said.
